The very first Arts and Culture Festival in 2012 set the standard for future festivals.  Our festival is known all over the Eastern Cape as a festival which established itself as a festival to be reckoned with due to its high standard and excellent adjudicators. In order to keep pace with national and international standards we have adopted (in the various categories) new grading systems.

You will immediately notice that we do not issue MERITS (as known to Art Festivals in South Africa as an achievement between 50 -59%) in this festival any longer.  We have discontinued the use of Merits.

PLEASE CONSULT THE INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS FOR THE APPROPRIATE GRADING SYSTEM.

GENERAL GRADING

DIPLOMAS

Each candidate receives a state-of-the-art diploma.   The level of achievement is indicated by the notarial seal according to the grading system of the session.

A CANDIDATE WHO RECEIVE A GOLD MEDAL, AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVE A GOLDEN DIPLOMA.  IT IS THE OPINION OF THE ORGANISER THAT IT IS INAPPROPRIATE FOR A CANDIDATE TO RECEIVE AN EMPTY DIPLOMA WITHOUT ANY NOTARIAL SEAL.  THEREFORE, ALL GOLD MEDALS RECEIVE A GOLD SEAL ON THEIR DIPLOMA.
